Truckers Healthy Food Choices The trucking industry is under siege by heart disease, obesity and hypertension because many truck stops choose to set out too much fried food and not enough fresh fare. This may be about to change slightly for the better, however, due to news from national sandwich chain Subway.

 

Subway is now featured as a quick, healthy food option in more fuel stops in North America than ever before. While Subway doesn’t have more locations than fast food juggernaut McDonalds, more than 4,100 locations are in convenience stores and truck stops. This is good news for truckers who are battling weight, diabetes and other ailments due to high-calorie diets.
