80 MPH Utah Speed Limit Here To Stay, More Being Added According to the Associated Press, two sections of I-15 in southern Utah will permanently remain 80 mph speed zones.

The Utah Department of Transportation used the two sections as test zones for the last three years.  The study shows that accidents in the 80 mph zones decreased by 11% in one section and 20% in the other.

The UDOT is now considering adding additional 80 mph zones throughout the state, the AP reported.
