Speedco Holding Event for Joplin Tornado Victims

Speedco Joplin Truck Stop Benefit Missouri Speedco will hold “All Roads Lead to Joplin,” a community event benefiting the city of Joplin, Mo.

The event will take place May 17-19 at the Joplin Speedco store, located on I-44, Exit 11 in Joplin, Mo. The event will include the 30th Anniversary of Shell Rotella SuperRigs Truck Beauty Contest, the grand reopening celebration of the Joplin Speedco store, a community concert, a parade and fireworks.

On May 22, 2011, a deadly tornado struck Joplin, Mo. and devastated the community. The Speedco location in Joplin was in the path of the tornado. All employees and customers were safe and unharmed, but the building was destroyed. The location was rebuilt and opened for business on March 1.

“The community of Joplin has supported us for many years, and it’s our turn to give back to such a deserving community,” says Mark Clark, Speedco president and CEO.

All proceeds and donations from the event will be donated to the Joplin YMCA Outreach Program.
