The History of Trucking in Pictures Our writers spend a lot of time on YouTube searching for information that we think is relevant to truck drivers. There’s a lot of industry information out there, alongside some truly horrifying stunts gone wrong, near-missed disasters and videos that should be, well….FUNNIER.

The History of Trucking in Pictures

But once in a while we come across a video we think just has that perfect mix of simplicity, nostalgia, quality and relevance to truckers across the nation. This is one of them. It’s a collection of old photographs of trucks, rest stops, fuel islands and drivers from early on in the history of trucking. Most of these photos are from the National Archives in Washington D.C., but some are obviously straight out of some family photo books.

We hope you enjoy the video as much as we did. Have a good day truckers and let’s keep the history of trucking alive!
