This week, Nikki Sixx, bassist for hard rock legends Motley Crue had some great things to say about one of his tour truck drivers after a near disaster. “We’re thankful for what he does, and we’re thankful that he’s okay!”said the rocker on Wednesday night. To the fans, he posted a Twitter that read: We owe you the show you expect and deserve, so we’ve jointly decided to give our crews the 24 hours necessary to piece everything together to make it possible.

A truck carrying pyrotechnics for Kiss and Motley Crue was involved in an accident in Ohio while en route to a scheduled show at the DTE Energy Music Theater near Detroit, Mich. A joint statement on Kiss’s website includes the pictures below while announcing that the bands have decided that they must reschedule for a later date so they can take stock of the damage and what needs to be replaced before the next performance.

It’s not clear what caused the accident, or exactly when the accident occurred. Nikki tweeted a few photos from the scene. Close call, rockers! We’re glad everything worked out for the best!
