Laying Pipe Laid Someone to Rest This comes as quite a shock, as we reported yesterday on the truck driver TV favorite  Sons Of Anarchy, and their mid-season shocker. It looks as if it’s another example of life imitating art, in the worst way.

Days after a shocking death rocked the show and its fans in the most recent episode of the FX drama, actor Johnny Lewis, who played eager club recruit Half-Sack in the early seasons of the series, was found dead in Los Angeles yesterday. He was 28.

Police suspect Lewis was on some mind-altering drug and beat an 81-year-old woman to death, had a struggle with some men, and then fell off the roof of a Los Feliz home after he heard approaching police sirens.

Katherine Davis, its 81-year-old owner, was found dead on the second floor of the three level house in a “gruesome scene” police said. Her cat was found dead nearby, Commander Smith said.

The owner of the home next door and a painter working there were attacked by Lewis before his fatal fall, resulting in minor facial injuries. Investigators are investigating whether killer Johnny  Lewis, 28, had the synthetic drug, Smiles, in his system when he murdered Mrs. Davis.

Series creator Kurt Sutter was quoted as saying, “It was a tragic end for an extremely talented guy, who unfortunately had lost his way. i wish i could say that i was shocked by the events last night, but i was not. i am deeply sorry that an innocent life had to be thrown into his destructive path.”
