An Atlanta, Georgia man was walking near a construction site, when he slipped and fell into a mud pit. Trapped and unable to move, the hypothermic man had to wait for more than an hour for the Atlanta Fire Rescue to dig him out.
Video from the day, captures the scene. The man is so buried, he’s hard to make out in the mud.
Firefighters had to clear the mud away from his face, so he could breath. Finally, after an hour, the man was rescued when rescuers were able to use a ladder to pull him free from the pit.
The man was taken to Grady Hospital, in Atlanta. Authorities say he is expected to make a full recovery.
