Driving in high winds can be a scary situation. Last month, high winds ravaged most of the west and many of you commented you had to pull off of the road.
Watch these drivers attempt to drive in high winds.
Watch a truck cross a bridge in high winds.
NOT only was there high winds, The truck coming up on his left took all The drag off The tail end of The trailer. It created a vacum. Just like in nascar. Get up under em. Get em loose and put em in the wall….
Here in the UK we often open our curtains and tie them to back of trailer doors And put some straps over the roof of trailer that way we are able to tackle high winds. Only problem if you are supposed to arrive at loading point with a dry floor, with all the rain and wind floor will be real wet.
hes lucky he didn’t snap the trailer in half!
High winds?? Yeah, I’ve drove in them a few more times then I should have. The worst of which was 85 mph cross gusts in Western Iowa. The worst weather I have ever drove in was the blizzard that hit Chicago in 2011. When I finally found a place to park, it was snowing so hard I had to open the drivers side door and partially stand on the running board, I was driving a T-600 KW, so I had large top steps to stand on, and look straight down for a snowbank in low gear. Zero visibility, I literally could not see the mirrors on the hood of the truck…
wow this is a scary sight.
wow..lucky it is not you, stay safe
I’m guessing he was running empty.
I don’t even think he noticed what happened. he was too calm……….Lol.
