Truck Driver Severely Injured, Five Teens Killed In Texas Crash

A fiery crash claimed the lives of five teens and left a truck driver in critical condition.

The crash occurred on Sunday, at the intersection of 2 county roads in Dumas, Texas, when an SUV driven by 16-year-old Jacob Paul Stipe ran a stop sign and was struck on the passenger side by a tanker driven by Ezequiel Garcia.

The tanker erupted into flames.  Garcia sustained burns to 65% of his body and is listed in critical condition.

Tragically, the car’s occupants: Jacob Paul Stipe, 16, Derrek Lee Hager, 17, Christopher Lee Moore, 17, October Dawn Roys, 17, and her sister, Elizabeth Kay Roys, 15, all died at the scene.

Authorities do not believe alcohol was a factor.
