Urgent: Driver’s Mother Pleads For Help In Locating Son

Published:

A Colorado Springs woman is pleading for help in locating her missing son.

The Colorado Springs Gazette spoke with Fran Hall about her missing son Marty Weller, a missing truck driver.

On the morning of September 1, Weller stopped in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee at a truck stop near Interstate 40 at Exit 143, to get a new alternator for his truck.  At 10:00 a.m., Weller spoke with his fiance.

That’s the last anyone has heard from him.

“We’ve continued calling him over and over again,” Hall told the Gazette. “Finally his phone just stopped ringing and it went immediately to voicemail.”

On September 3, Weller was scheduled to deliver load in Concord, N.C. The load was never delivered.

Weller is a driver for Billy Moore Trucking.  The Missing Truck Driver Alert Network has been active in notifying the public of Weller’s disappearance and working with authorities and the truck stop.

“I’m worried,” Hall said. “I’m very badly worried.”

Hall has also been working with authorities in Tennessee, North Carolina and Colorado.

“They have not found the truck. They have not found the trailer. We have not heard from him.”

Hall says Weller always stayed in close contact while on the road.

“I’m just a mother that wants to find her son,” Hall said.

Weller is 47 years old.  He is 6′, bald and has blue eyes.

He was driving a dark purple 1996 Freightliner with flames.  The truck has Colorado license plates: 604XAJ.
