The news headlines all read “Man Hit By Truck,” leading many to assume the truck driver was at fault, however, Fox 43 has reported witnesses are saying that wasn’t the case.
The news channel has reported that witness say that on Wednesday, they watched a man intentionally step in front of an oncoming truck, along Interstate 30 in Pennsylvania.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m., near the Malleable Road overpass.
The man has been identified as Jesse Roberts, 57, of Lititz, Pennsylvania. Roberts was taken to the hospital and is listed in critical condition. He sustained severe trauma to his entire body, however, his injuries are non-life threatening.
The truck driver was not injured. His truck has been impounded for investigation.
