Fuel From Texas Pilot Reportedly Causing Truck Issues

Published:

According to KSAT, the Pilot truck stop in Von Ormy, Texas is asking drivers who purchased fuel at the location on Tuesday afternoon to contact them, because of issues with the fuel.

The Pilot Flying J travel center is located off of Interstate 35 at exit 140.

“A communications manager with Pilot said several trucks started running poorly and some stopped on the lot after they were fueled,” KSAT reported.

Pilot says they’re looking into the issue.

“We first learned of the situation this afternoon when a professional driver notified the general manager of the Pilot Travel Center in Von Ormy, Texas. The general manager then notified our corporate office, and the diesel pumps used to fuel tractor trailers were closed. We immediately started investigating the cause of the issue and are still currently doing so,” a representative from Pilot stated.

If you purchased fuel from the Von Ormy Pilot on Tuesday, between 2:40 p.m. and 3:50 p.m. CST, and you believe you’re experiencing issues, you’re asked to call the Pilot customer service department at 877-866-7378.  You’ll need your receipt or the credit card you used for the purchase.
