Truck Drivers: The Heroes Of Christmas
‘Twas the night before Christmas,
and all through the town,
truck driver, J. Rudolph
was making his rounds.
The presents were stacked
on the loading dock with care,
in hopes that St. Nicholas
soon would be there.
J. Rudolph backed into the dock,
threw open the trailer,
and there was St. Nick,
and Holly and Tailor.
Rudolph passed off the presents,
Santa loaded his sleigh,
The two exchanged nods,
and then parted ways,
St. Nick had much to do,
and so did the truck driver.
Both play a big part,
to make Christmas brighter.
The children were nestled,
all snug in their beds,
while visions of Ninja Turtles,
grappled in their heads.
When Santa arrived,
the gifts went under the tree.
Both Sally and Johnny have been good now – you see?
And on Christmas morning,
the eager children arose,
and dashed down the stairs,
– The ribbons! The Bows!
They opened their gifts,
and jumped for joy!
Santa knew exactly what to bring,
for this girl and boy.
