According to WBRC, a 74-year-old Alabama man has is accused of shooting a 25-year-old truck driver over a truck parking disagreement.
At approximately 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, in the 4100 block of 19th Place in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, Desmond Flanagan reportedly parked his truck in his mother’s driveway but had pulled it out into the street briefly so that his girlfriend could move the garbage cans from the garage. As Flanagan was moving his truck, Livingston Wells allegedly blocked Flanagan with his vehicle.
Flanagan’s girlfriend, Latoyia Paige, 26, told WBRC that Wells then began firing at Flanagan.
“Mr. Wells got his gun and he shot my boyfriend two times in the stomach. Then my boyfriend punches him in face and Mr. Wells gets out of his truck and starts shooting at my boyfriend,” Page told WBRC.
As Flanagan was fleeing Wells, Wells continued firing shots at him. Page rushed to defend her boyfriend, jumping on Wells’ back. Wells then allegedly turned the gun on Page, but the gun was out of ammunition.
Neighbors were able to retrain Wells until authorities arrived.
WBRC reports that Wells had made numerous complaints to police about Flanagan’s truck parking in the past and had apparently decided to take matters into his own hands.
Wells was arrested and has been charged with two counts of attempted murder.
Flanagan is in stable condition.
