Idaho State Police Bust Driver with 150 Pounds of Marijuana

A Florida driver is behind bars after being busted with approximately 150 pounds of marijuana in his truck .

On Saturday, an Idaho State Trooper stopped stopped to check on a truck that was pulled over on I-84 in Meridian, Idaho.  The truck driver, Michael John Wojciechowski, 48, told the trooper that he had pulled over to sleep.

While the trooper was speaking with Wojciechowski, he smelled marijuana.  Wojciechowski allegedly admitted to the trooper that he had an ounce of marijuana.

The trooper searched Wojciechowski’s truck and found approximately 150 pounds of marijuana, worth up to $500,000.

Wojciechowski was arrested and charged with felony drug trafficking.  According to KHQ, “The mandatory minimum sentence for trafficking of marijuana in excess of 25 pounds is five years in prison and a fine of $15,000. The maximum penalty is 15 years in prison and a $50,000 fine.”
