Truck Driver Sues Over Slip, Fall on Ice at Warehouse Parking Lot

Published:

According to the PennRecord, a Connecticut truck driver is suing a shipping company after the driver slipped and fell on ice on the shipping company’s warehouse parking lot in Hazelton, Pennsylvania.

The driver, Andrew Campbell, says he suffered a concussion and other injures as a result of the fall.

The incident occurred on January 5, 2013, at approximately 3:30 p.m.

The suit states that that on that day, snow and ice covered the parking lot.  When Campbell exited his truck and stepped onto the parking lot, he slipped and fell.

Campbell sustained a concussion, “other severe injuries, severe head trauma, cognitive defects, dizziness, nausea, drowsiness and confusion,” PennRecord reported.

The suit states that Romark Logistics was negligent by not clearing the snow and ice and failing to warn drivers of the “dangerous state of the parking lot.”

Campbell is suing Romark Logistics for $75,000 for negligence, and his wife, Sandra Campbell is suing for loss of consortium with her husband.
