Canadian ‘HitchBOT’ Completes 6,000 Mile Journey

Robot To Hitchhike Across Canada

The Canadian ‘hitchBOT’ has finally completed his 6,000 mile road trip in Victoria, BC last weekend! Though there were many fears that the pool-noodle and rain boot clad robot wouldn’t survive the journey, there was little cause for concern.

Unsurprisingly, ‘hitchBOT’ was immediately popular on the road. The bot began it’s journey near the Halifax airport hitching a ride to New Brunswick with a couple, beyond that the bot crashed a wedding, attended a powwow at the Wikwemikong Unceded Indian Reserve, and went on the road with a touring band!

Fortunately ‘hitchBOT’ avoided the many dangers of the highway, and was not involved in any accidents, mugged (parted out), or stolen. ‘HitchBOT’ has plans to travel to Seattle in the future.
