Shocking Video Shows Moment Train and Truck Collide This Morning In South Carolina

Published:

A train collided with a truck this morning only minutes after another train derailed in Pittsburg and two days after the fatal Amtrak accident in Philadelphia .

According to eye-witness accounts, the truck became stuck on the tracks near the intersection of Lee Street and Calhoun Street in Johnston, South Carolina. The truck driver got out of the truck to try to determine why he had become stuck on the tracks only moments before the arm began to lower and warning lights started to flash. Sources say that the truck was dragged down the tracks by the train, striking several cars which in turn hit the town library. Eye witnesses also say that a fuel tanker was about to go around the stuck truck when the lights started to flash, so the accident could have been much worse.

There is no official word whether there were any injuries during the accident.
