Truck Driver Crashes Into Eighteen Wheeler Loaded With Dynamite

A Michigan truck driver is in critical condition after rear-ending a truck carrying 40,000 pounds of dynamite on Tuesday morning (February 24th). Driver William Watson was driving an empty truck through Garden Township on US-2 when he collided with the back end of a truck driven by Erik Somers, which was loaded with dangerous explosives.

The dynamite did not ignite during the accident, but Watson was critically injured. The driver had to be removed from his truck with the Jaws of Life and airlifted to a nearby hospital. Somers escaped the accident without injury.
