Truck Hauling Five Sharks Crashes, Killing One Shark

Published:

A truck hauling five sharks crashed on I-95 in Volusia County in Florida this afternoon, killing one of the sharks.

The accident happened around 2:25 today when one of the truck’s tires blew out. The resulting crash damaged one of the shark tanks, killing one five-foot long shark. The sharks were each transported in individual tanks, so the other sharks were not harmed.

The truck was transporting the sharks to a New York aquarium. After the accident, another truck arrived to take the surviving sharks to their destination.

The Florida Highway Patrol was not sure what type of sharks the truck was hauling.

There is no word on the condition of the truck driver.
