According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC), the rest areas located along Interstate 71 in Oldham County, Kentucky will be closed for one month for renovations.
Both the northbound and southbound rest areas will be closed, beginning Tuesday, January 6, 2015. The rest areas are expected to reopen the first week of February.
Crews will be working to rehab the restrooms at the facilities. In addition, they will be painting the outside structures and repairing concrete sidewalks.
KYTC warns that weather may cause “unforeseen delays,” so check 511.ky.gov for up-to-date information on the closure.
