A California woman and a truck driver are both dead after the woman hijacked an ambulance at knife point and drove it into a truck last night.
The woman called 911 to report that she had suffered a seizure. When paramedics arrived, the woman pulled out a knife and demanded that they give her the ambulance. The woman then took off in the ambulance alone, hitting speeds of up to 100 m.p.h without turning on the sirens. Other motorists called the police to report the erratic driving.
The woman had driven the ambulance about 4 miles and was close to I-5 when she met a truck turning into the Flying J truck stop in Frazer. The woman crashed head-on into the truck. Witnesses said that the impact sounded like a bomb went off. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators have stated that they believe that the woman crashed the ambulance intentionally.
