QuikTrip Tests Sit-Down Truck Stop Restaurant

Published:

QuikTrip is testing out a new in-store sit-down restaurant in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The chain quietly opened the QT Kitchens pilot program at the 6008 S. 49th West Avenue location last month, making it the only one of QuikTrips’s 700 stores to offer a restaurant. The menu includes salads, sandwiches, wraps, flatbread, drinks, and desserts. Diners can choose to either order from a staff member or from touch screen computers at the counter.

While QuikTrip is open 24 hours, the sit-down restaurant is open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The restaurant’s owners are considering the launch to be a tentative success and they hope that the sit-down concept will spread to other stores. They also plan to add drive-through windows and to expand their menu if the concept is successful.
