Truck Driver Caught After Trying To Evade Toll on GWB

A Delaware truck driver was arrested this week after authorities caught him trying to evade tolls on the George Washington Bridge.

The truck driver, 56-year-old Venice Carroll Grant, attempted to use the E-Z pass lane to avoid the toll with a front licence plate that was unreadable and a back plate bent so much that it could not be scanned.

Police pulled Grant over when the indicator read “toll unpaid”.  Grant told the police that he didn’t have an E-Z pass. He was charged with theft of services and other traffic violations.
