Garmin Releases ‘Most Advanced Truck Navigation Yet’

Published:

Garmin today announced the release of the new dezl 570 and 770, calling the two the company’s “most advanced truck and navigators yet.”

The new devices feature 5″ and 7″ displays and are housed in a rugged case.

“The new dezl 570 and 770 are designed to meet the needs of truckers and address the unique challenges they face on the road,” said Dan Bartel, Garmin vice president of worldwide sales. “Combining leading Garmin navigation with new dedicated features for truckers, these new devices are our best truck navigators yet. The new dezl not only provide truck-specific routes and intuitive directions, but also offer additional functionality, such as filterable truck locations, service logging and backup camera support.”

The Garmin dezl 570 and 770 feature large, easy-to-see and hear displays and navigation and provide a wide-range of new, truck-specific features. Additionally, both units have extra-loud speakers so that drivers can easily hear the directions, as well.

Garmin says the new simple truck profile has made entering trailer dimensions easier than ever! Users must simply enter size and weight to get customized routes that are suitable for your truck.

With the dezl 770, you get headset support and free HD Digital Traffic and both the 570 and 770 feature Garmin Real Directions, Up Ahead and Foursquare data, and both are compatible with the new BC 30 backup camera. The BC 30 backup camera provides a live feed from the rear of the truck to help eliminate blind spots.

Additional features include: trucking points of interest that alert drivers to truck-friendly stopping points along the way that have been rated by other truck drivers with TruckDown.  The locations include truck parking, hotels and weigh stations.

“Along with trucking points of interest, dezl 570 and 770 include millions of additional places from Foursquare, like restaurants, lodging and more. Truckers also have the ability to track their truck’s service history including oil changes and tire mileage, as well as Hours of Service (HOS) and International Fuel Tax Agreement Documentation (IFTA),” a press release from Garmin states.

The dezl 570 has a $299.99 price tag, while the suggested price for the dezl 770 is $399.99.
