Volvo And Mack To Lower Operating Costs With Prepaid Maintenance Plans

Published:

To help reduce ownership costs for truckers, Volvo and Mack have announced that they will offer prepaid maintenance plans.

The plans are designed to help truckers take control of their maintenance costs for services. Mack’s David Pardue said that the plans demonstrate the company’s “commitment to the customers’ bottom line by helping them control their maintenance expenses.”

The maintenance plans will be available for trucks that are from 2011 or newer powered by Mack and Volvo engines. The plans will cover Volvo D11, D13 or D16 engines and Mack MP7, MP8 or MP10 engines.

There are three pre-paid plans providing customized levels of maintenance and duration of service — anything from basic oil changes and 74-point inspections to more in-depth services. The plans are also designed to align with the new service intervals announced earlier this year.

The plans can be purchased from Mack and Volvo dealers in the U.S. and Canada
