The Larimer County Sheriff’s Department has released a sketch for a “vehicle of interest” in connection with multiple roadway shootings that have occurred in northeast Colorado.
The shootings began on April 22, in Windsor. Since then, police have only been able to positively link two of the shootings, however, they believe three other shootings may be related.
“While the shooting in Larimer County on April 22nd and the shooting of Mr. John Jacoby on May 18th in Windsor have been linked by evidence, there is still no indication of a direct link between those two incidents and the two incidents in Loveland,” the Larimer County Sheriff’s Department’s press release states.
On June 3, 2015, a person was shot at, but not injured, in the area of Denver Avenue and East Eisenhower Boulevard in Loveland, approximately two miles from where William Connole was shot and killed.
On June 3, Connole was shot while walking. He was found lying on a sidewalk in a pool of blood. Emergency responders tried to save Connole but were unsuccessful. Connole died as a result of his injuries.
In late April, a woman was shot and injured while driving on Interstate 25, and on May 18, a bicyclist, John Jacoby, was shot and killed in Windsor.

Timeline:
April 22- Cori Romero, 21, was shot in the neck driving on Interstate 25 in Windsor. She survived.
May 18- John Jacoby shot and killed while riding his bike on a rural road in Windsor.
June 3- Individual reports being shot at in the area of Denver Avenue and East Eisenhower Boulevard in Loveland.
June 3- William Connole was shot and killed while walking on a sidewalk near St Louis Avenue and First street.

All the shootings occurred within a 15-mile radius.
A multi-agency task force has been formed to investigate the recent rash of “apparently random” shooting incidents.
Task force investigators have developed what they feel is a ” vehicle of interest based on several interviews and canvasses during this investigation.”
The vehicle is described as a 1973-1979 Model GM or Chevrolet, full-size, single cab pickup, with faded orange paint and a black primer on the driver’s side body.

“If you see this vehicle moving and/or occupied, please immediately call 911 so local law enforcement can respond and follow all the directions of the emergency dispatcher. If you can do so safely, please gather as much information about the vehicle to include license plate state and number, distinguishing characteristics of the vehicle, description of the occupant(s), and/or a photograph.”
The FBI has offered a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest, prosecution and conviction of the suspect(s) responsible for the crimes.
