New Jersey Cop In Fatal Wrong-Way Crash With Truck Claims Strippers Drugged Him

Published:

The off duty New Jersey cop who drove the wrong way into an 18-wheeler in March, causing an accident that killed two and injured a truck driver, is now claiming that a stripper may have slipped him a date rape drug.

Cop Drove Head On Into Truck After Leaving Strip Club

The crash occurred on the West Shore Expressway in Staten Island. Pedro Abad and two friends left the Curves Gentlemen’s Club hours after posting a photo of shot glasses filled with “Jack Daniels Fire On The House” online. Abad drove the wrong way on a service road leading to a southbound exit to the highway. One 18 wheeler was able to avoid him, but the second did not have time to swerve and a crash occurred, killing two of the car’s occupants and injuring the truck driver and the two other men in the car.

Blood Alcohol Was Three Times the Legal Limit

Abed pled not guilty earlier this month in spite of the fact that his blood alcohol levels were three times the legal limit.

Lawyer Says Dancer May Have Given Cop Date Rape Drug

Abed’s lawyer is now claiming that his client may have been slipped a date rape drug by one of the strippers. His lawyer claimed that he “found some medical evidence that could be interpreted to mean” that his client had been drugged, adding that having a date rape drug slipped into a drink is a common occurrence at strip clubs.

If convicted, Abed will face 25 years behind bars.
