Trucker Who Stopped To Help Gets Rig Stolen By Crashed Truck Driver

Published:

After crashing his own 18 wheeler, a truck driver has been accused of stealing the rig of a fellow driver who stopped to help and leading Oklahoma police on a 30-mile chase.

The incident took place around midnight last night when a truck hauling lettuce overturned on the Claremore exit ramp of the Will Rogers Turnpike, spilling its load on the road.

When another trucker stopped to help, the crashed truck driver attacked him and stole his truck and headed east on the Will Rogers Turnpike.

The stranded trucker called the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, who pursued the truck for about 30 miles before they were able to bring it to a halt with stop sticks near the Big Cabin exit, flattening 6 of the truck’s tires.

The driver was taken to jail after he was transported to the hospital for a blood test.
