Police Hunt For Trucker Who Knocked Down 30 Foot Tree And Dragged It 2 Miles

Authorities are searching for a truck driver who they say hit a 30-foot tall tree and dragged it for miles, leaving a path of destruction in his wake.

Police say the incident happened last week in West Windsor, New Jersey. According to reports, a truck driver attempted to turn around in a church parking lot when the truck hit a 30-foot tall tree around 14 inches in diameter. The collision snapped the tree off at its base.

The tree became lodged under the truck and was dragged 2.3 miles from the church parking lot. The tree hit 19 mailboxes, 4 utility poles, and toppled a stop sign before finally dislodging from under the truck.

The truck driver left the scene without reporting the incident.
