TravelCenters of America of America is kicking off a full month of truck driver appreciation festivities.
From August 31 to October 2, many TA and Petro locations will be hosting driver appreciation events.
“National Truck Driver Appreciation Week is when America takes the time to salute and recognize professional truck drivers for the difficult and demanding job they do so well, each and every day,” TravelCenters of America said in a press release.
Participating locations will be handing out driver appreciation giveaways. In addition, on Monday, September 14, UltraOne members will earn double points on fuel purchases when they use their UltraOne card.
“Millions of professional drivers deliver our goods across America safely, securely and on time every day,” said Tom O’Brien, President and CEO of TravelCenters. “Not only are they handling one of our economy’s most demanding and important jobs, but they are also helping keep our highways safe. It’s important we take the time to honor these hard working and committed individuals for not only their dedication, but for continually moving America forward.”
Many locations will be hosting health fairs. Blood-pressure screening and glucose testing will be offered.
Activities vary by location. Some locations will offer bean bag toss, basketball, dog washing, live bands, truck windshield washing and more!
