Truck Driver Found Dead In Sleeper After Idling Four Days

Published:

A truck driver was found dead in his sleeper on Monday morning near Circle Drive in Saskatoon after a worker noticed that the truck had been idling in front of his shop since Friday.

Employees said that it wasn’t unusual for trucks to idle in front of the shop, but every day that the truck failed to move, their suspicions grew.

Employees of WRT Equipment finally banged on the truck’s door Monday morning to make sure that the driver was okay. They could see his unmoving legs when they peered into the cab.

The employees contacted the driver’s company, Piston Transportation Ltd., who reported that they had not been able to contact the driver. They believed he was in Alberta and they were shocked to learn that the was still in Saskatoon.

They contacted the police, who do not believe that the driver’s death was suspicious.
