A 21-year old truck driver is being charged with reckless driving after his truck rolled over Toronto’s southbound Highway 404 ramp and fell onto Highway 401 on Monday (March 23). The truck hit two other vehicles during the accident.
Excessive Speed Suspected in Rollover
The truck driver and one other driver involved in the accident were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Toronto officials say they believe that the driver exceeded the posted speed limit for the ramp, which led to the accident. No defects were found on the truck or trailer.
Westbound lanes of Highway 401 were closed for 5 hours after the accident.
