Wind Rolls Over Truck With Sleeping Driver Inside

Published:

A truck driver had a terrifying wake up call earlier this morning when high winds knocked his truck over while he was sleeping inside.

Truck driver Gary Jenkins was sleeping in his truck around 4 a.m. which was parked at a Walmart in Lewisville, Texas. His trailer was empty after he had delivered a load of potato chips earlier in the day. He woke abruptly to a loud bang while he  was tossed from the driver’s side of the truck to the passenger side.

The fire department came and used a ladder to help Jenkins escape from the cab. He suffered only minor injuries.

Crews helped put the truck back on its wheels. There was only minor damage to the 18 wheeler.
