Volvo Debuts Second Season of ‘Welcome to My Cab’

Published:

Volvo Trucks North America has announced the second season of “Welcome to My Cab” featuring trucks and drivers from North America.

The first episode features Tim Baumgartner, owner of a heavy-duty towing company, and Baumgartner’s truck the “Freedom Flyer,” which is a patriotic-themed Volvo VNL.

Baumgartner is a Vietnam War veteran and is the owner of Crockett’s Interstate Towing of Eugene, Oregon.

His Volvo VNL is adorned with images of the American Flag, eagles, soldiers and other military imagery.

“I’ve got 1.2 million miles on this truck,” Baumgartner said. “It’s just a class ride.”

“Welcome to My Cab” is a series that profiles drivers and their custom Volvo trucks.

“The latest episode of ‘Welcome to My Cab’ adds to the momentum of this worthwhile program highlighting professional truck drivers and their passion for trucks and the road,” said Magnus Koeck, Volvo Trucks vice president, marketing and brand management. “We hope many more drivers will invite us to learn about their trucks and their livelihoods, which are so vital to the economy and our daily lives.”

The “Welcome to My Cab” series began in 2009 in Europe.
