Car Hauler Sideswipes Six School Buses Carrying Students

Four students were injured yesterday when a car hauler sideswiped six school buses in Seminole County, Florida.

Westbound Car Hauler Sideswipes Six Eastbound School Buses

The incident took place around 1:30 p.m. yesterday when a row of eastbound school buses were stopped on CR 46A near Old Lake Mary Road. According to reports, a westbound truck hauling three cars side swiped six of the buses because part of the trailer was sticking out. The truck collided with the side-view mirrors on each of the buses.

The truck driver did not realize that he hit the buses and kept going, but later returned to the scene.

Four Students Injured

All of the buses were carrying students at the time of the crash.

Four of the students reported injuries. Three were treated on the scene. The fourth student was transported to a nearby hospital.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the truck driver was cited for extending outside the lane he was occupying.
