Local News Crew Chooses Perfect Soundtrack For Stolen Truck Chase Video

Published:

A Spokane news crew captured some impressive video of the stolen semi truck rampaging through the city yesterday — and they made the video so much better by adding an intense heavy metal soundtrack.

If you missed the story yesterday, Spokane police began pursing the truck shortly after spotting two men unloading items from a Walmart trailer into a white pickup. Several schools went on partial lock down after officers began to pursue the truck at speeds of 55 to 60 m.p.h. The stolen semi drove the wrong way in heavy traffic before crashing into a garage. The driver, who would later be identified as 38 year old repeat offender Daren Suiter, then took off on foot but was captured by police just before noon.

Investigators say that Suiter stole the truck from a truck yard and the trailer from the Airway Heights Wal-Mart.

No one was hurt during the pursuit.

Suiter was charged with  Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Attempt to Elude Pursuing Police Vehicle, Hit and Run, Hit and Run Unattended Property, and Theft.

Take a look at the video and enjoy that Metallica-esque truck chase soundtrack.

This is, by the way, the same local news crew that took it upon itself to clock the speed of passing semis with a radar gun just days ago, suggesting that the truckers were driving too fast on icy roads.
