A motorcyclist is facing felony charges after shooting at a semi that he says cut him off on I-94 in Michigan.
The shooting happened just before 8 a.m. on Friday in the eastbound lanes of I-94 near mile marker 24.
According to reports, truck driver Allen Shotko had entered a construction zone when an angry motorcyclist pulled a firearm from his coat and shot at him as they were both traveling on I-94.
Shotko was not hurt and called the police. They later discovered a bullet hole in the truck’s radiator.
Police were able to locate and stop the motorcyclist, 34 year old Trenton Norris, about 16 miles away from the scene of the shooting. They found a loaded .40 caliber pistol on his person.
Norris admitted to police that he had shot at the semi. He said that he was angry because the truck driver cut him off, but denied that he intended to injure Shotko.
Norris was formally charged today with four felonies: assault to do great bodily harm less than murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, discharge of a firearm from a motor vehicle and carrying a concealed weapon.
