Indiana police have arrested three people for shooting paintball guns at truckers along I-65 in Clark County.
The arrest came after police received several reports on the evening of February 19 about three people — two males and a female — who were driving along I-65 north in a blue or black Honda shooting at tractor trailers.
Trucker Says Paintball Blast Nearly Caused A Crash
The weapon turned out to be a paintball gun, but at least three truck drivers were hit — all on the driver’s side window. One of the truckers, Eddie Boyd from Wyoming, said that he was so startled that he nearly crashed. At the time, he was hauling 75,000 pounds worth of vinyl rolls. He said that the paint covered his windshield and caused him to swerve. He says the incident could have turned deadly: “They could have killed a bunch of people and caused a huge mess.”
Suspects Say They Were Shooting At Truckers For Fun
Police soon located and arrested Kinsey Prather, 21, Joshua Spears, 24, and Ryan Bowles, 21. The trio told police that they were shooting at the tractor trailers for fun. They were charged with criminal recklessness, criminal mischief, and possession of marijuana. They bonded out a few hours after they were booked in.
