Fiery Three Semi Crash On Indiana Toll Road Kills Trucker

Published:

A truck driver lost his life in a three semi truck crash on the Indiana Toll Road yesterday afternoon.

The crash was reported around 12:30 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the Indiana Toll Road in LaGrange County.

Police say that the crash happened after a truck driver stopped his rig on the outer shoulder of the road to attend to some sort of mechanical issue.

An eastbound tanker truck crashed into the stopped semi and then crashed into a third eastbound semi, sending both the third truck and the tanker into the median.

The tanker caught fire after the crash.

The tanker truck driver was later pronounced dead at the scene.

One of the other truck drivers involved in the crash was transported to the hospital for non life-threatening injuries.

The eastbound and westbound lanes of the Indiana Toll Road were shut down for hours for the crash.
