Published:

A trucking instructor died yesterday when he was pinned between two 18 wheelers during a backing-drill at the Swift Driving Academy in Corsicana, Texas.

According to reports, 61 year old instructor Alvin “Lynn” Thomas was somehow pinned between two trucks during a backing drill training accident yesterday morning.

He was transported to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Lynn’s students took to Facebook to honor the memory of their instructor.

Zachary Jones wrote: “ I just finished my course out there at that academy. All the the time I was there my Lynn had a smile on his face the size of Texas. He was my instructor in the first week . And he taught me a lot about everything that comes with trucking . He always made us laugh for sure. I was just shaking his hand Friday thanking him for everything he did for us from a simple silly question to a pick me up joke when we didn’t feel up to par that day . Everything he taught me I will carry with me through out my trucking career. Rest easy up there trucker your trip is done.”
