Police Believe Trucker Who Was Stabbed To Death Was Involved In Argument

Published:

Authorities suspect that the truck driver who died from stab wounds in his truck in Sumner, Washington, on Tuesday was involved in an argument hours before he was killed.

Argument May Have Led To Homicide

The incident happened at the Mustardseed Truck Stop just off Highway 167. The driver, who has now been identified as 52 year old Piotr Pietrzykowski, was found in his truck around 5:30 yesterday with multiple stab wounds in his chest.

According to the company Pietrzykowski drove for, Top Line Express, there was no co-driver assigned to him, though they admitted it was possible he had taken someone else in the truck with him.

Police On The Hunt For Trucker’s Killer

Police do not believe that the stabbing was a random act. They have been combing through security video, interviewing truckers, checking the trash, and searching the victim’s truck in the hopes of locating the killer.

No arrests have been made.

If you have any information on the homicide, please contact the Sumner Police Department’s tip line at 253-299-5678.

Trucker’s Final Mile is accepting donations to help get Pietrzykowski’s body home to his family in Elgin, Illinois. You can click here to learn more about donating.

In addition, a GoFundMe has been set up to help Piotr.  Follow this link to the GoFundMe page.
