Dates have been announced for the 37th annual Truckers Jamboree at the I-80 Truck Stop in Walcott, Iowa.
The event will take place from July 14 through July 16. The yearly festival is designed as a way to show appreciation to truckers for their essential role in keeping America rolling: “It’s our way of saying thank you to the millions of truck drivers that deliver the goods we consume, whether it’s groceries, gas, clothes or cars — you can bet it was delivered by a truck.”
Truckers Jamboree Highlights 2016
This year’s Jamboree highlights include:
- Free admission and parking
- Display of antique trucks
- Trucker Olympics
- Iowa pork chop cookout
- Country music bands, including Dani Lynn Howe & Band, Clare Dunn, and Sammy Kershaw
- Nightly fireworks
- Carnival games
- Super Truck Beauty Contest
Last year’s event drew over 40,000 truckers and trucking enthusiasts.
