A trucker lost his life this morning when a load of steel beams came crashing through the cab of his truck after he hit his brakes.
Steel Beams Came Loose During Sudden Braking
The incident happened near a Love’s truck stop in Angola, Indiana. Forty-four year old Shawn H. Spencer of Rome, Pennsylvania, was driving west on U.S. 20 when he slammed on the brakes for unknown reasons. The steel beams he was hauling came loose and crashed through the cab of the truck.
Spencer was pronounced dead at the scene.
The truck Spencer was operating was from the Todd Berguson Trucking Company.
Authorities Still Investigating Fatal Incident
No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
Police are still investigating the incident.
