VIDEO: Police Release Footage Of Truck Theft

New York police have released security footage of a July 1 semi truck theft in hopes of catching the culprit and returning the truck to its owner.

From the Clarkstown Police Department: “On July 1, 2016 at 5:00 AM the Clarkstown Police Department responded to a report of a stolen vehicle at 52 Snake Hill Road in West Nyack. This is a parking lot where numerous contractors store their vehicles. The stolen vehicle is a black 2005 Peterbilt truck bearing NY reg. 47344PC, which was pulling a black 2016 MAC dump trailer bearing NY reg. 1463C1. The truck has “RJL Industries” on each door and “52” on the nose. The truck is valued at approximately $80,000.00 while the trailer is valued at approximately $100,000.00. Security video reveals that the pictured male entered the lot on foot at 12:22 AM and drove the truck with trailer out of the lot at 12:29 AM. The truck exited eastbound on Snake Hill Road. The male appears to be white or Hispanic with a light beard/mustache wearing a black “Sox” baseball hat. Anyone that has information about the incident or recognizes the suspect please contact the Clarkstown Detective Bureau at 845-639-5840.”
