CFI Increases Driver Pay, Adds Over 600 Kenworth T680s To Fleet

Published:

In an attempt to become “one of the most driver-friendly companies in the industry,” CFI announced a $0.02 per mile pay increase, a new and improved home time policy, and the addition of over 600 Kenworth T680 tractors to their fleet.

The Joplin, Missouri, based company president Tim Staroba says, “The iconic CFI brand is back and returning to what made us great with our commitment to drivers, customers and service.

The driver pay increase goes into effect this month and “increases total starting per-mile pay for new-hire one-year experienced drivers to a total of 44.5 cents per mile.” CFI says it will also increase pay for its team drivers and independent contractors.

CFI also says that they have made driver-friendly changes to their paid time off and home time policies.

Starting in March 2017, CFI will also add 626 driver-preferred new Kenworth T680 tractors, outfitted with Cummins engines and manual automatic transmissions.

Staroba says that the company hopes these changes will prove CFI’s commitment to their drivers: “We take pride in providing competitive compensation, newer equipment and advanced technology. Our drivers are the company’s most important asset; we empower and incent them to operate our equipment as safely and efficiently as possible.
