Trucker’s Medical Emergency Sends Semi Crashing Into Home

The Washington State Patrol says that a medical emergency was the reason that a semi truck driver veered off of the road and crashed into a home yesterday in the town of Roy.

Semi Crashed Into House In Roy, Washington

The crash happened around 6 p.m. According to WSP, 44 year old California-based trucker Scott McCabe was traveling north on SR 507 when he veered off of the road and crashed into a house, causing serious structural damage.

There was a single occupant in the house at the time of the crash, but that person wasn’t injured.

Semi Crashed Into House In Roy, Washington

McCabe was transported to the hospital for the treatment of non life threatening injuries after the crash.

WSP Trooper Brooke Bova stated that McCabe suffered from some sort of medical emergency prior to the crash. State Police are still investigating the incident.
