Investigators Stumped On Why Semi Crashed Into Wisconsin Gas Station

New Lisbon Police and the Wisconsin State Patrol are still trying to figure out why a semi crashed into a gas station yesterday, causing thousands of dollars worth of damage.

The crash happened on March 9 around 5:30 a.m.

A slightly cryptic police report from the New Lisbon Police Department simply states that “45 year old, Scott Walter of Monroe WI drove his Road Runner Transportation Services semi-truck and trailer into the New Lisbon Travel Mart.

The report states that Walter was transported to the hospital for “medical evaluation.

There were only two employees in the gas station at the time of the crash. Neither employee suffered injuries in the crash.

The crash is said to have caused tens of thousands of dollars worth of damage. The New Lisbon Travel Mart is closed until further notice.

The police report does not offer any insight as to why Walter crashed into the gas station. Wisconsin State Police will be joining in the investigation.
