Drivers are working together to make dreams come true “Teddy Bear” style

Published:

A group of truck drivers are working together to create a magical day for a young wheelchair bound truck lover in Milton, Wisconsin.

On Saturday, August 18, at 1 p.m. numerous drivers are planning on participating in the “18 Wheels for Bubba” event in Schilberg Park in Milton in order to help “Bubba” celebrate his birthday.

Here’s what event organizers have to say about why they decided to make the event happen:

We’re here to support a young man’s passion of the trucks that roll up and down the roadway. Dakota “Bubba” sits safely in his wheelchair in the yard next to HWY 26 and waves as truckers go by. We will be honoring his passion for trucks on August 18th 2018 at Schilberg Park in Milton, WI at 1:00 PM. Bubba’s Birthday is the 15th of August so this makes for a very special surprise birthday party for him.
We will have many trucks from all over coming in bobtailing. We plan on having a truck show for him as well. Plus food and games to entertain everyone.
If you wish to send a donation please contact myself or Jeremy Kaschub for an address to send it. He is a size medium for a t-shirt. Anything Trucking related would be great.

Please help us in making this a birthday he will never forget. Together truckers are awesome!

Bubba has Dandy Walker syndrome & cerebral palsy. He can walk with assistance. He has cognitive delays & has ataxia (shakey weak muscles, with occasional spasms) along with seizures(mild)

We hope to see you there and help us bring some joy to this young man’s heart.
