Seventeen semi trucks burn overnight at Illinois truck facility

Published:

Firefighters in Illinois say that more than a dozen semi trucks were damaged during an overnight fire at a truck facility.

The fire started around 10:30 p.m. on Monday night at KDM Truck Service in Addison, Illinois.

Firefighters said that the fire began with two trucks but spread quickly to other vehicles after tanks containing diesel fuel caught fire.

The Addison Fire Protection District says that at least 17 semi trucks were damaged in the fire.

No injuries were reported.

Spilled diesel required hazmat cleanup and temporarily shut down a nearby roadway.

Firefighters do not suspect foul play, but they are still investigating the fire.
